Jesus Christ came to die for you. Imagine someone willing to solely live so that they could die in your place! And that someone is God! Note the very words that Jesus said, "...and I give unto them eternal life..."
We all have sinned; missed the mark of God's righteousness. We all deserve the wages of our sins...

Romans 6:23 tells us, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." What we deserve, have earned, is an eternity separated from God in the lake of fire. But God is not willing that this be our fate, and provided the only door of escape through the sacrifice of his Son, Jesus Christ. That is why Jesus plainly stated, "...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
The best news in the world is that God will save you! The Gospel Message is this,
"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:'' 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Our salvation is a Gift from God because of his loving grace! You can't earn a gift, but it must be received! And this is a personal gift from a personal Savior that every individual must receive or reject.
Have you received the gift of God which is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord? You can, today, by choosing to believe the Gospel message and calling upon God to save you through Jesus Christ!

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
