Healing a Servant of a Soldier

Setting: Back in the city of Capernaum, where Jesus caught the ire of the Jewish leaders in casting out a devil in a man while in the synagogue, a Gentile military officer with a tender heart towards his own servants and the Jewish people sought for Jesus, to request the healing of the immense suffering of his servant at home. Jesus says that he will go the centurion’s home and heal the servant, only to find revealed a type of faith that had not yet been seen amongst the nation of Israel. The Roman officer who loved the nation of Israel and built them a synagogue had a compassionate heart for a servant that was dear to him, and had heard of the Miracle Man’s mighty works.
